The last 100 days of 2024 starts on Monday September 23. It's crazy this year is about to end as it's just really started to begin! I'm reminded that life is too short to say "I don't want to do this today. I'll do it tomorrow..." There is no certainty that there will be a tomorrow. But what we choose today is what shapes the story our lives will tell.
Just as I about got used to it being summer, temperatures are starting to drop again below 10 degrees Celcius during the nights. Days will be colder and grayer than they have been. It's tempting to let that influence my mood or motivation as I face autumn and then winter.
Rather than to focus on the glass-half-empty perspective, let's think of a way to end this Year 2024 with gratitude, satisfaction and joy. How about finding the beautiful in seasons that are less heart-warming? How about ending the year with fascination of what each day brings instead of letting stress and hectic end-of-the-year patterns from years past repeat?
Will you join me in a challenge to enjoy each one of these 100 last days of 2024 with energy, motivation, concious decisions and passion?

This is what the 100 Days Challenge of 2024 is about:
- Refocus = Remember and restart working toward a goal you've always wanted to reach. (what was your new years' resolution again??)
- Together = Work toward this goal together with me and/or people you appreciate that will challenge themselves or cheer you on in your challenge.
- Shaping = consistently work on shaping new habits that reshape who you are into who you want to be.
- Motivate = push yourself beyond the "I've failed", "I've tried this before" or "I could never..."
- Challenge = Go outside your comfortzone, take the path that is less walked and dare yourself to persevere.
- You = all of you: your Body, Soul and Mind have the potential to become stronger and healthier.
- Consistency = step by step, day by day:

Gameplan:
- Choose 1-3 goals you want to work on. BODY - SOUL - MIND
- Tell someone about your goals and your mission who will check in on you during the journey.
- Brainstorm ideas on how to achieve these goals.
- Every day for 100 days starting September 23 work on at least one of your goals.
- Be nice to yourself. This is designed to help you, not to beat yourself up on. If you miss a day - it's okay! Just restart and keep going.
- Share your struggles and victories with others.
- Enjoy the hard days - just as your muscles grow during strain, character is formed in struggle.
Ideas for your Challenge:
💪🏽 BODY: choose a daily exercise, routine or time focusing on a healthy physical lifestyle (e.g. taking a walk. doing one exercise like pushups or planks or squats. stretching. 5-15 minutes of movement you don't do during your day. cooking a nutritious meal. taking a nap. not eating sugar. early bedtime...)
❤️ SOUL: listen to positiv-uplifting music. read words of encouragement or truth. remind yourself and think about who you are (loved, valuable, accepted, forgiven) or how far you've come. journal. speak to God. think on a bible verse that touches your heart. embrace struggles that want to be processed. encourage someone by writing them a note. surprise someone with a random act of kindness. check in with a family member. invest in a relationship.
🧠 MIND: train your mind for daily thankfulness. take 5 minutes to be still. write down and let go of one worry. note what was the highlight of your day. detox from phone usage or other addictive habits. speak truths over yourself. Reframe situations that are hard for you to accept. capture thoughts and beliefs that are not loving toward yourself or others. learn a new language. memorize a poem, verse, passage or facts.
OTHER: take 5 minutes a day for cleaning or order at home. put aside 1 Euro/CHF/Dollar per day for your savings. serve someone in need.
